Trafalgar offers a safe bathing beach, angling, surfing and scenic walks. The Trafalgar Marine Reserve protects a fossilised forest in the intertidal zone. This can be seen at low tide just south of the Trafalgar pool, looking somewhat like a low outcrop of rock.
